Ⅱ.教材简解
本课时选自译林版小学英语五年级上册第四单元《Hobbies》story time。本单元的story time中,主要通过Mike谈论自己和朋友们的爱好,从而引入本单元的新词“dance、draw、play the piano、read、sing、watch films”,在对新单词的学习上,通过多种让学生感兴趣的方式达到记忆的效果。本课的重点句型有“I/We/You/They like...” “He/She likes...”,并在交际活动和写作活动中学会运用。
Ⅲ.目标预设
1. 知识目标:
① 能正确理解、掌握对话内容,并能准确朗读。
② 能正确听、说、读、写单词“dance、read、draw、sing、play、swim”和句型“I/We/They like...” “ He/She likes...”
③ 在掌握重点句型的基础上,通过本课学习培养学生的语言实际运用能力。
2. 能力目标:
① 运用游戏等方式熟练掌握学到的新单词dance、read、draw、sing、play、swim
② 在游戏和活动中运用句型”I/We/You/They like...” “He/She likes...”
③ 通过学习如何使用英汉词典的微课,学习如何使用英汉词典查找”also”以及其他补充词汇的意思和用法并学会总结。
3. 情感目标:
① 将英语和日常生活紧密联系起来,让学生热爱说英语,热爱交流。
② 让学生明白爱好会让我们的生活变得五彩缤纷。
IV.重点、难点
1.重点:
① 学生能够理解故事内容,并初步朗读课文,做到语音、语调准确。
② 通过学习如何使用英汉词典的微课,学习如何使用英汉词典查找”also”以及其他补充词汇的意思和用法并学会总结。
③ 学生能够学习和掌握句型“I/We/You/They like...”“He/She likes...”的用法。
2.难点:
学生能够将本节课所学习的词汇灵活地运用到实际的语言表达中。
Ⅴ.设计理念
在素质教育和新课程的背景下,教师由传统的知识的传授者、灌输者转变为学生学习的帮助者、促进者,指导者、组织者和合作者。教学更加注重学生发展,使学生学习的主体性充分发挥出来,在学习中获得成功。教学面向全体学生,并在保证面向全体学生的同时,积极创造条件,满足有更大学习潜力的学生的需要。
VI.设计思路
课上一开始教师通过和学生交流互动,学生之间交流互动,顺理成章地让学生从第一人称过渡到第三人称来表达自己和他人的爱好。接着教师出示课文文章,用“Jigsaw reading” 的理念要求学生根据段落提到的内容找到能够与之匹配的图片。继而开始分段学习这篇文章,介绍五个主人公爱好的时候,分别以不同的方式让学生去寻找答案,获得不同的小贴士,思路清晰。紧接着学生齐读并能够选择一个或几个人物复述出来。随后通过提问“What do you get from their hobbies?”激发学生思维的能力。最后学生能够模仿书上的一两段话介绍自己和朋友的hobbies,由输入到输出,整节课重难点突出,条理清楚。

Lead-in
1) Greetings and Free talk
T: Hello boys and girls, nice to see you! How are you today?
Ss: I’m fine. Thank you,and you?
T:I’m fine too.I’m so happy to be your new English teacher today.Do you want to know me?
S1: Yes!
2) Guessing game
T: Can you try to guess how old I am?
S: You are ... years old.
T: I’m 18 years old. And I am 18 years old forever.
T: What do I like doing? (作吃又似唱歌状)
S1: You like sing.
T: singing.
S1:singing
T: You like singing.
S1:You like singing.
T: No, I don’t like singing.
S2: You like eat ice creams.
T: eating iceams.

T: You like eating ice creams.

T: Yes! I like eating ice creams!What else do I like doing? Look! (作仰泳又似跳舞状;写又似画画状;看电影又似阅读状)

T: So I like eating ice creams, swimming, wrting stories and reading. They are my hobbies. Read after me: Hobby Hobbies (出示课题)Hobby means something you like doing.
3) Brainstorm
T: Now let’s talk about hobbies. Do you know any hobbies started with S/P/R/W/D?
Ss answer.
4) Talk about your hobbies
T: So we know a lot of hobbies. What do you like doing?
Ss: I like...ing.
5) Pairwork: try to ask his/her hobbies
T:I know your hobbies. But do you know about your friends’ hobbies? This time, let’s do pairwork like this(作左右状), try to ask your friends what do they like doing.
(既考验了学生的交流能力,又考察了本课的语法点:like doing的用法)

T: Good! Now please introduce your deskmates’ hobbies to someone in front of or behind you. When you intruduce, use He/ She/ XXX...likes...ing. (板书) Read after me: likes likes for example XXX likes...ing. And XXX likes...ing. Got it? Let’s do pairwork like this.(作前后状) Go!

Presentation
1) Matching
T:Open your envelopes, try to match the 4 pictures with the paragrahs on the paper.
Ss do the matching.
T: OK, let’s check.(实物投影)
T:Are they right?
Ss: Yes!
T: Who are they?
Ss: Liu Tao, Yang Ling, Su Hai and Su Yang.
T: Good!And what about this one? I, who is “ I “ ? Put aside the paper, look!
2) Look and say/ Mike’s hobbies
T:Look at the picture. Oh, we know this is Mike. Can you say something about Mike?
Ss answer.
T: Look, can he play basketball well? Can he play football well? So he can play basketball well, but he can’t play football well. Now let’s listen to Mike’s hobbies. (教读draw发音)
T: Just now we said he can’t play football well, but here look, it says “ he is not good at football” what does it mean “ be good at” ? Look at the pictures. He can play basketball, what else can we say?
S1: He is good at basketball.
T: And this picture, he can’t play football well. So we can also say...
Ss: He is not good at football.
T: So what’s the meaning of “be good at” Can you choose one of them? A or B?

T: Great! Read after me: be good at. OK, let’s go back to the paragraph.
We know be good at means can do something well. So which one do you think is better?

T: 记住了,虽然be good at 和can do something well 意思是类似的,但是在表达的时候,句式要灵活,要避免重复。

So we know about Mike’s hobbies. Can you say something about Mike’s hobbies? Half a minute for you, then try to say it.
T: If you can say one sentence, it’s OK. If you can say two, you are great. If you can say all the sentences, you are the best! Who can?
S1: This is Mike. He likes... (顺理成章地从第一人称过渡到第三人称,使学生看了Mike的爱好能够自己复述出来)
3) Look and say/ Liu Tao’s hobbies
T: Just now we got tip 1 : 表达时,句式灵活,避免重复。Now look at the two pictures. Can you use “Mike... But Liu Tao...”to talk about it? You can choose two of them.
S1: Mike is not good at football, but Liu Tao can play football well.
T: Yes, you got it! Look at the two pictures, what does Liu Tao like doing?
Ss: He likes playing football.
T: What else does he like?
S2: He likes playing table tennis too.
T: Yes.
T:Now read Liu Tao’s hobbies by yourselves, when you read please find the sentence with the same meaning with “ he likes playing table tennis too.”
S3: He also likes playing table tennis.
T:Excellent! This word, how to read? all so-----also
T:Look at the two sentences “ He likes playing football too.” and “ He also likes playing table tennis.” Remember,在表达的时候,我们最好能用不同的词来表达同一个意思,不要雷同。

4) Listen and answer
T: Listen and answer: What are Yang Ling’s hobbies?

T: Yes, from this we know how much she likes reading. 记住了,在表达的时候,你可以展开联想,适当扩充一些句子,让别人相信你真的喜爱做这件事情。

T:Now can you try to fill in one sentence to prove that Yang Ling likes playing the piano?

Group reading
5) Read and answer
T: There are only Su Hai and Su Yang left. We all know they are twins, it’s really difficult to tell who is Su Hai, who is Su Yang. Look at the paragraph, read and answer: Who is Su Hai? Who is Su Yang?
Ss answer. T凭借swim的发音教授film.
T根据学生的答案借着板书教授both.
T: Look at the sentences, which one is better? When we want to talk about Su Hai and Su Yang’s hobbies, first we talk about Su Hai, then Su Yang, finally their common hobbies.Got it?
T: 记住了,当我们在表达多人的爱好时,要按照顺序,先说A,再说B,然后C...最后可以说一下他们的共同爱好。

6) Read together
T: Now open your books, Let’s read the whole passage beautifully. Sit nicely and read loudly! Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation!

7)Try to retell
T: Let’s retell, you can choose one or two or all of them if you can. Remember when we retell, we need to change the subject to the third person.
8) Let’s think
T: What does Tim like doing? How do you know Tim likes drawing?
S6: Because Mike usually draws in the park with his brother Tim.

3. Consolidation

Now open your books, choose one to two paragraphs and immitate them. Then try to talk about your hobbies and your friends’ hobbies. You may refer to the four tips.
